Whether you’re hosting a backyard cookout, attending a picnic, or just looking for an easy and healthy snack, this red, white, and blue caprese salad is a perfect choice.

Ingredients
3vine ripe tomatoes, sliced into thin rounds
1(8 oz)fresh mozzarella log, pre-sliced for extra ease
1pintblueberries
¼cupbasil leaves, shredded into thin strips
2tbspolive oil
salt and pepper, to taste
2tbspbalsamic glaze
Instructions
Slice the tomatoes and into thin rounds and shred the basil leaves into thin strips.
On a serving tray layer the tomato slices and mozzarella slices so that they are slightly overlapping in rows. Top with the blueberries.
Drizzle over olive oil and season with salt and pepper to taste. Sprinkle the finely chopped basil all over.
Drizzle the balsamic glaze on top of the salad, or serve on the side and provide toothpicks for dipping.
