Pizza Heart Taquitos (Easy Air Fryer Recipe)
Pizza heart taquitos are toasted tortillas rolled up with pepperoni heart cut-outs, pizza sauce and cheesy mozzarella. These air fried pizza rolls make an easy lunch, snack or game day appetizer ready to go in no time at all!
The one kitchen gadget that we have been using what seems like on the daily is our air fryer. I love that it is easy and quick to use and always enhances whatever food we throw into it!
Take these cheesy, crispy what would have been ordinary tortilla roll up wraps, and now are a pizza/taco lover’s dream all thanks to my good ol’ faithful air fryer!
When I come home from a long day of teaching, it feels like the minute I walk through the door my kids are requesting an air fryer wrap. It’s the one snack I honestly don’t mind making for them because these air fryer roll-up wraps are easy to throw together and take approximately 4 minutes to cook!
Most days I am simply taking a tortilla wrap, sprinkling over cheese and rolling it up to add in the air fryer to cook until cheesy and crunchy come together as one.
Because Valentine’s Day is approaching and I wanted a fun look for these tasty little tortillas that I was making for my kids’ meal prep school lunches, I decided to add-in some heart cut-outs to these pizza wraps.
My kids L-O-V-E-D these air fryer pizza wraps with a heart twist! And what makes their heart happy, also make this mama heart happy too!
Why prep lunches for school?
To make meal planning more consistent and practical in my house, I aim to include four school lunch preps for my two kids in our weekly meal prep rotation. This helps us save money and ensure that two days of the week, the kids have well balanced meals that happen to be fun and festive, yet simple enough to put together in less than 15 minutes.
In these lunch preps I try to include a variety of colors as well as a good balance of the essential food groups so that my kids are getting exposure to different foods in a fun and exciting way!
