how to make funfetti banana bread

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F and grease a 9×5-inch baking dish or loaf pan.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the mashed bananas, melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar. Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the mixture; mix until combined. Gradually add in the flour and baking soda, mixing until just combined.

Gently fold in the sprinkles. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top with a spatula.

Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

for the vanilla glaze

While the banana bread bakes, make the vanilla glaze: Into a mixing bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth and well combined. Adjust the consistency by adding more milk if you prefer a thinner glaze or more powdered sugar for a thicker glaze.

Once your banana bread has cooled slightly but still warm, drizzle the vanilla glaze over the top using a spoon. Top with additional sprinkles.

I hope you enjoy this recipe as much as we do. It’s definitely one of those recipes worth saving. There’s nothing better than having a tried and true family passed down recipe on the table.
