Fall Tree Food Art Pizza
Your favorite time of the year created in one easy to make lunchbox. This fall scene English muffin pizza is delicious and nutritious!
Let it FALL! I love this time of the year. This season creates the perfect setting for a sense of comfort, warmth and change; just look at that gorgeous foliage! That was the inspiration behind this fall tree English muffin pizza. Made with assorted rustic cherry tomatoes and fresh mozzarella, this school lunchbox will have you or your little one jumping for joy into this beautiful season!
Ingredients
English Muffin, shredded mozzarella cheese, pretzel sticks, assorted and diced cherry tomatoes (one red, yellow, purple and orange), red grapes cut in half, clementine, blueberries, pomegranate seeds, crackers and cheddar cheese cut-outs (cut-outs optional).
Directions
1. Cut English Muffin in half. Make a good layer of mozzarella cheese on the bread. Place 1 pretzel stick in the middle of the bread. Begin to place the assorted and chopped cherry tomatoes on and around the top of the pretzel stick, including the “ground” to create a fall tree scene.
2. Bake in oven at 350° for 5-7 minutes or until the cheese is melted. While pizza is cooking cut grapes and clementine in half. Place grapes in main compartment of lunch box.
3. After cooling, place the English muffin pizza on top of the grapes and each half of the clementine on the bottom sides to represent pumpkins (you can use a piece of spinach or celery for the pumpkin stems).
4. In one side compartment place a handful of blueberries. Sprinkle in pomegranate seeds.
5. In second side compartment place crackers (I found these cheese crisp crackers at Aldi’s!) and cheese cut-outs on top.
How do I transport this fall pizza food art creation?
u can make this design on a plate or for easy on-the-go travel, secure everything in place with toothpicks. Additionally, cover each compartment with tin foil. For the main compartment, add a ball of tin foil to the middle between ingredients and lid for extra hold.
