Are soy beans okay for a keto diet?
Whether or not soy is okay on a keto diet is a very common question. While soy products are not traditionally considered an integral ingredient to a healthy keto diet, they can be included in moderation as part of a well-rounded, nutrient-rich diet. Everything in balance!
Soybeans are a good source of protein and fiber, and they contain a variety of vitamins and minerals.
As with anything, moderation and balance is key when it comes to adding soy to your keto diet. Be sure to pay attention to your intake of soy-based products and monitor your progress or blood sugar if you are diabetic. If you find that you’re struggling to stay in ketosis or you’re not seeing the results you want, you may want to consider only having soy once in a while or cutting it entirely.
Do I have to use (soy) bean in my keto chili?
Nope! You don’t have to use black soy beans in this keto chili recipe. There are plenty of alternatives if you still want chili and need more texture than Keto chili without beans. Riced cauliflower, chopped turnips or even adding spaghetti squash at the end would make for amazing alternatives.
This keto chili and low carb beans recipe is fabulous…because it is simply satisfying.
Use any of these alternatives if you want to skip the black soybeans and you will achieve keto chili goodness!
Is this keto chili recipe dairy-free?
Yes, this chili is dairy free and gluten-free. I tend to avoid dairy because it throws my system out of wack big time. I have included it in this recipe as an OPTIONAL serving choice because cheddar cheese is delicious; I recommend a plant-based one to hit that satisfaction while being hassle-free to your system and progress.
