Mini Snowflake Grilled Cheese Sandwiches
I’m not sure which is better, actual snow or these mini snowflake grilled cheese sandwiches served with tomato soup perfect for dipping along with dill pickle trees. Whether it’s a snow day or pure excitement for all things winter, this lunch will have you and your little one feeling all the warmth and comfort needed during these cold months ahead of us!
Ingredients
2 slices of your favorite bread, 2 slices white American cheese, blueberries, tomato soup, 1 dill pickle spear (or green apple),
optional: tree cut-outs and snow food stampers
Directions
1. Into each slice of bread, make 8 snowflake cut-outs (you should be able to make 4 per slice of bread). Make 4 snowflake cut-outs with the American cheese slices. Put together the bread and cheese cut-outs to form 4 mini sandwiches.
2. Heat-up some butter on low and place the mini sandwiches onto the skillet. Cook until the bread is a rich golden brown, flipping once. **You can use a lid to cover for a few seconds to make the cheese melt faster without burning the bread**
3. Into the main compartment, place the mini snowflakes. Place blueberries around them.
4. In one side compartment place a good amount of tomato soup, canned or homemade!
5. In second side compartment, place tree cut-outs from a dill pickle spear or a green apple.
I hope you and your little one enjoy this winter lunch creation!
How do I transport this lunch creation?
To hold everything in place, cover each compartment with tin foil. For the main compartment, add a ball of tin foil to the middle that touches the lid and secures it in place.
