how to make creamy chicken and green beans skillet

Prepare the chicken; paper towel dry the thin chicken breasts (be sure to butterfly and pound thin if you bought thick ones).

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika, then add to the skillet and cook until golden on both sides, about 4-5 minutes per side. Remove chicken from skillet and set aside.

Prepare the sauce; in the same skillet over medium heat, add butter, garlic and onions. Once onion and garlic are translucent add onion soup seasoning packet, salt, and pepper to taste. Stir until fragrant.

Reduce heat to low; add in cream, frozen green beans, and crispy fried onions; give a good stir, cover and let simmer 8-10 minutes.

Remove the pan from the heat and stir in parmesan cheese until well combined.

Nestle in the cooked chicken breasts into the sauce along with the green beans. Garnish with extra crispy fried onions, if desired.

can i meal prep creamy chicken and green beans skillet?

Absolutely! It’s a quick and easy meal that comes together in one pan which means more time for you to enjoy you weekend without a whole lot of time spent meal prepping. Simply divide this recipe into 4 meal prep containers. The flavors in this creamy garlicky sauce have time to meld together, allowing all that goodness to absorb even more as leftovers. You can choose to keep the chicken breasts whole or cut them into bite sized pieces to have more to go around. I also added some rigatoni pasta to this chicken and green beans meal prep. You will be set for the week with this meal. It’s a fantastic option for a complete, quick, and satisfying meal prep.

I hope you enjoy this recipe as much as we do. It’s definitely one of those recipes worth saving. There’s nothing better than having what looks and tastes like a gourmet meal on the table, but one that saves you time behind the scenes.
