This blueberry caprese salad matches the colors and flavors of this patriotic and festive season! It’s also the easiest red, white, and blue caprese salad that’s guaranteed to impress all your guests!

We love this easy caprese salad because it only takes a few minutes to prepare. It’s the perfect festive and fresh dish for Memorial Day or the 4th of July! This red, white, and blueberry caprese salad has all the deliciousness of a traditional caprese salad, with the addition of blueberries.

It doesn’t get any easier or more delicious than this!

Ingredients

To make this easy caprese recipe, you’ll need a few ingredients that you can get at almost any grocery store or even online.

Here’s what we are working with:

  • sliced tomatoes
  • mozzarella cheese slices
  • fresh basil leaves
  • fresh blueberries
  • olive oil
  • balsamic glaze

how to make red, white, and blue caprese salad

  1. Slice the tomatoes and into thin rounds and shred the basil leaves into thin strips.
  2. On a serving tray layer the tomato slices and mozzarella slices so that they are slightly overlapping in rows. Top with the blueberries.
  3. Drizzle over olive oil and season with salt and pepper to taste. Sprinkle the finely chopped basil all over.
  4. Drizzle the balsamic glaze on top of the salad, or serve on the side and provide toothpicks for dipping.

  • 3 vine ripe tomatoes, sliced into thin rounds
  • 1 (8 oz) fresh mozzarella log, pre-sliced for extra ease
  • 1 pint blueberries
  • ¼ cup basil leaves, shredded into thin strips
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp balsamic glaze
