  • fresh broccoli rabe (rapini)
  • mushrooms
  • garlic
  • olive oil
  • lemon juice
  • red pepper flakes, optional
  • grated parmesan cheese, optional

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to boil. Blanch broccoli rabe for 2-3 minutes and drain well.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and red pepper flakes (if using) to the skillet; cook 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Stir in mushrooms and broccoli rabe. Lower the heat and cook for about 8-10 minutes, until tender.
  3. Drizzle over a splash of lemon juice. Sprinkle over parmesan cheese and additional red pepper flakes if desired.
