  • whole wheat tortilla
  • shredded cheddar cheese
  • turkey slices, optional
  • cherry tomatoes
  • carrots
  • fresh berries
  • pretzel sticks

how to make a turkey quesadilla food art lunchbox

1. Cook quesadilla over medium-high heat. Add shredded cheese on top, then the slice of turkey (if using) and fold, cooking and flipping sides until cheese is melted.

2. Using the bottom of a glass jar, cut-out a circle in the quesadilla for the turkey’s body. Cut-out a smaller circle of the head. Into the main compartment, place the smaller circle on-top of the bigger one. Place candy eyes or olives on top.

3. Make 3 triangular cut-outs from the baby carrot; add one for the nose and two for the feet. Use a thin slice of a cherry tomato for the turkey’s wattle.

4. Slice a handful of cherry tomatoes lengthwise and begin placing them around the turkey.

5. In one side compartment add fresh berries. In the other compartment, place a handful of pretzel sticks and then add cheddar cheese cut-outs to the top.

how to use letter cut-outs

I love these letter cut-outs which I used to make the word, “GOBBLE.” Every time I make a word, it easily becomes scrambled on my daughter’s way to school. She loves to guess the word and unscramble it by putting the letters in the correct order when she opens her lunchbox.

how do I transport this thanksgiving turkey and cheese quesadilla lunch food art creation?

You can make this design on a plate or for easy on-the-go travel, secure everything in place with toothpicks. Additionally, cover each compartment with tin foil. For the main compartment, add a ball of tin foil to the middle between ingredients and lid for extra hold.

We sure hope you enjoy this fun and delicious thanksgiving turkey and cheese quesadilla as much as our little tribe has time and time again. Please leave us a star review and comment if you make this turkey quesadilla food art lunchbox!
