- pumpkin pie spice

Prepare the sauce; in a skillet over medium heat, add butter and onions. Once onions are translucent add garlic powder, Italian seasoning, smoked paprika, pumpkin spice, salt and pepper to taste. Stir until fragrant.
Reduce heat to low; add in cream and pumpkin puree and let simmer 2-3 minutes.
Remove the pan from the heat and stir in parmesan cheese until well combined.
