Ingredients for quiche
To make this simple and delicious quiche recipe, you’ll need a few ingredients that you can get at almost any grocery store or even online!
Here’s what we are working with:
pie crust
Store-bought or homemade works well for this recipe. Here is what you will need for a homemade flaky pie crust:
- all-purpose flour
- salt
- unsalted butter
- ice water
quiche egg filling
- eggs
- whole milk
- cream
- nutmeg
- salt and pepper
add-ins
With the exception of cheese, most quiche add-ins should be pre-cooked, roasted, or sautéed before mixing into the egg filling. In other words, these ingredients should be slightly warmed when combining with the filling. Here are some of our favorite quiche add-ins:
- cheddar cheese
- feta
- goat cheese
- bacon
- caramelized red onion
- roasted broccoli
- roasted red pepper
- roasted garlic
- sautéed spinach
- sautéed zoodles (zucchini noodles)
- black olives
You will want to stick to about 1 cup of cheese and up to about 2 cups of vegetables and/or meat add-ins.
