To make this delicious twist on a classic french toast recipe, you’ll need a few ingredients that you can get at almost any grocery store or even online!
Here’s what we are working with:
- ripe bananas
- granola
- slices of white bread
- eggs
- milk
- ground cinnamon
- butter or oil for cooking
- maple syrup, powdered sugar, whip cream, or honey (optional for serving)

In a large bowl combine and mix together banana slices, granola, eggs, milk, and ground cinnamon.
Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add a small amount of butter or oil to coat the surface.
Dip a slice of bread into the egg mixture, ensuring both sides are fully coated. Let any excess batter drip off.
When skillet is very hot, place the coated bread onto the skillet. Pour about 3 tbsp of the batter (including banana slices and granola) over the top of the bread slice. Cook about 2 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy.
Repeat the coating and cooking process with the remaining slices of bread.
Once all the french toast slices are cooked, serve them warm, topped with fresh banana slices and additional granola. Drizzle with maple syrup, honey, or a sprinkle of powered sugar if desired.
