how to make an Italian sub salad

Prepare the lettuce: We used romaine lettuce for this salad. You can choose to use iceberg lettuce also. First, rinse and chop the lettuce you are using into small pieces.

Prepare the meats and cheeses: Cut the meats and cheese into small chunks. If you can’t find the mini mozzarella balls, simply cut string cheese into small bite size pieces.

Prep the veggies: You will also want to cut the veggies into small bite size pieces. You can choose to get wild or not at all with the veggies you include in your Italian sub salad.

Into a large bowl or 4 individual serving bowls, add the romaine lettuce and top with meats, cheeses, and veggies. Serve with Italian dressing and top with air fryer fried pickles, if desired.
