These air fryer fried pickles are always at the top of the menu when game season begins. They are super easy to make and incredible delicious to eat. They are also a healthier version of traditional and beloved deep fried pickles.

My kids love this air fryer version of fried pickles. I often make a big batch of these crispy, crunchy little pieces of perfection for an easy after school snack for them to enjoy.

To make these easy and delicious air fryer fried pickles you’ll need a few ingredients that you can get at almost any grocery store or even online!

Here’s what we are working with:

  • pickle chips
  • crushed pork rinds – or panko bread crumbs
  • egg
  • smoked paprika, optional
  • salt and pepper, optional

how to make fried pickles in the air fryer

Preheat your air fryer to 400 degrees F .

Place the crushed pork rinds or panko bread crumbs in a shallow dish; season with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika if using. Mix together 1 egg with 1 tsp water in another bowl.

Coat the pickles first in the pork rinds, then the egg wash, and finally back into the pork rinds; shake off any excess and transfer to a plate.

Arrange the pickles in a single layer in the air fryer basket; spray with avocado oil for extra crispiness.

Air fry for 8 minutes, then flip and cook an additional 5-6 minutes. Let cool and serve with ranch and hot sauce, if desired.
