This spinach and mushrooms pasta is as easy and delicious as it gets. This recipe is perfect for a busy weeknight meal and it only requires 5 simple ingredients!

This easy mushrooms and spinach pasta recipe is hands down one of my favorite go-to recipes when life becomes hectic. As a busy mom and teacher, I know firsthand how incredibly difficult it can be to work all day and then come home and try to feed an entire family. 

That’s why I’m all in when it comes to quick and easy recipes that don’t sacrifice flavor or nutrition, like this spinach and mushrooms pasta recipe. Trust me, this simple dish is a game-changer! And the best part? It only requires 5 simple ingredients.

To make this easy and delicious spinach and mushrooms pasta recipe you’ll need a few ingredients that you can get at almost any grocery store or even online!

Here’s what we are working with:

  • pasta (any type you prefer)
  • fresh spinach
  • mushrooms
  • garlic
  • olive oil
  • fresh lemon wedges, optional for garnish

how to make spinach and mushrooms pasta

  1. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet and cook about 5 minutes until they start to soften.
  4. Add the fresh spinach to the skillet and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until wilted.
  5. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss everything together until well combined; season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Optional: Drizzle over lemon juice and serve with fresh lemon wedges and/or basil leaves.

Ingredients 

  • 8 oz pasta , any type you prefer!
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4-5 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 cups fresh spinach
  • fresh lemon juice and wedges, optional for serving
  • fresh basil leaves, optional for garnish
