To make honey and lavender mascarpone dip, spread 8 ounces of mascarpone cheese in a serving dish, drizzle it with 2 to 3 tablespoons of honey and sprinkle it with sea salt and culinary lavender. Serve it with snack flats, crackers or apple slices. It takes 4 ingredients and about 5 minutes, serves 6 and makes an easy no-bake Christmas party appetizer.

This 4 ingredient Honey and Lavender Mascarpone dip is excellent for entertaining or snacking on the go. The unique combination of floral notes from lavender mixed with sweet honey and creamy mascarpone cheese is a crowd-pleaser and will have your tastebuds thanking you over and over.

It’s also my favorite last-minute Christmas party appetizer. There’s no oven and no chopping, and the deep red hibiscus honey swirled over the white mascarpone looks so festive on a holiday appetizer table.

Aloha Honey Farm Hibiscus Honey, a bowl of sea salt and Hope Hill culinary lavender

Aloha Honey Farm is an amazing company that truly takes pride in their honey; and let me tell you, it shows! What once started from a man’s love for bees and the influence he had on his young grandson, all of their honey is packaged straight from the hive.

There is no heating or filtering and no additive fillers such as corn syrup. Their unique varieties of honey are all naturally flavored by the bees themselves. Each flavor depends on the sunshine, humidity, rainfall each year which influences what plants were around for nectar. For this recipe, we will be focusing on their Hibiscus Honey.

The Power of Hibiscus

Let’s just talk about hibiscus. This sweet, beautiful flower is where the bees gather the nectar that gives this honey its lovely floral flavor. Just try adding a spoonful of it to your morning routine, whether it be a smoothie, coffee or tea…or mascarpone dip!

Here’s what we are working with:

How to Make Hibiscus Honey Lavender Mascarpone Dip

You’ll find the exact amounts and printable steps in the recipe card below. Here’s what each step looks like, plus the little things that make it work.

1. Spread the mascarpone. Spread 8 ounces of mascarpone cheese into a serving dish. Make a few swoops with the back of a spoon so the honey has somewhere to pool.

2. Drizzle the honey. Drizzle 2 to 3 tablespoons of honey over the top. We used Aloha Honey Farm’s Hibiscus Honey, but any honey you love will work.

3. Finish with salt and lavender. Sprinkle with sea salt and culinary lavender. A little lavender goes a long way, so start with a light pinch and add more to taste.

4. Serve. ENJOY! That’s it! Serve with snack flats, crackers or apples.

Serving Mascarpone Dip at a Holiday Party

This dip is an easy no-bake appetizer for a Christmas party, a holiday open house or a New Year’s Eve spread. Set it out on a big platter surrounded by snack flats, crackers and apple slices. A squeeze of lemon juice keeps the apple slices from browning. Since it only takes 5 minutes, you can put it together right before guests arrive. Don’t leave it out for more than 2 hours.

Make-Ahead and Storage

For the prettiest dip, add the honey, salt and lavender right before serving. You can spread the mascarpone in the serving dish ahead of time and keep it covered in the fridge until the party. Store leftovers covered in the fridge and enjoy them within 2 to 3 days.
